Fake Sweets

Earlier this year, which to be honest is a very long time ago, I came across the world of fake sweets!
It was all really fascinating, most of the work looked too real, so cute and edible. Seeing all this I wanted to give this crafts a go, so I researched into products. Ordered them, arrived two weeks later. The only catch was...I had exams coming up which meant I couldn't test them out until it was all out of the way. (Revision is vital for a good exam grade... we could go into the debate as to the importance of exams and stuff but as I student who wants to go to university, exam results are important in my case)
So after the grueling month of exams, getting my hands into the air drying clay was heavenly, I'm being serious here- air drying clay feels amazing ! I fiddled around with the clay, playing around at first I managed to craft some pretty good fake sweets, but nowhere near the quality of the crafts on the blog I came across.
I think I started to get the hang of making the sweets more realistic, one of my best crafts is the red macaroon.

Surprisingly air drying clay is very light, which is an advantage when making jewellery, the macaroon above only weighs 5g! identical to the weight next to it. In my opinion this is so far the highest quality macaroon I've made, air drying clay macaroon shells filled with strawberry whipped cream clay.
